Colorado State University employees purchasing goods and services on behalf of the University, using Government funds, should present the folowing information to vendors.
Please keep in mind that this information refers to state sales tax. Hotels often charge other types of taxes to which the University may not be exempt.
Further, be aware that vendors are not required to honor the University's tax exempt status. Honoring a sales tax exemption places an additional administrative and
financial burden on the vendor that they do not have to accept. The consumer has freedom of choice to use a different supplier as desired.
